Kool Drum Christmas

We've been playing at the St Brieuc Christmas market for 4 days in the wind and rain at the entrance to the Cathedral. Between concerts of Singing Steel we've given the public of all ages some Kool Drum workshops using the new Kool Drum Kid. Great ambience and a sound to rival the church bells!

Le Kool Drum résonne en Bretagne !

Voilà une mélodie que l'on a pas l'habitude d'entendre dans notre région: celle du kool Drum. Créé par un couple d'Anglais résidant à Plédran (22) cet instrument de percussions est vendu partout dans le monde.

Elle se nomme D'Gillian et fut choriste aux côtés de quelques grands noms de la pop music tel que Eurythmics ou Phil Collins. Jimmy son mari, en qualité de sonorisateur a parcouru lui aussi les plus grandes scènes du monde dans le sillage des plus grands artistes.

C'est ensemble qu'ils ont donné vie à un nouvel instrument baptisé le Kool Drum qui est en train de se tailler un petit succès d'estime notamment sur le net. Un instrument de percussion qu'ils fabriquent tout simplement chez eux à Plédran, aux portes de Saint-Brieuc et dont les premiers prototypes étaient créés à partir de d'anciennes bouteilles de gaz....

New Kool Drum Kid

At last after a month of R'n'D we have finally launched the Kool Drum Kid, specially designed for young people from 3 years old. 6 larger notes in D minor 7th, easy to play with hands or malets. The chassis is lighter weight and finished in 3 bright, hard wearing paint. The Kid comes with it's protective bag, cushion and a pair of mallets and is competitively priced at 199€.
